The reverberation gallery at the Staatsoper Unter den Linden in Berlin has been awarded the 1st Prize in the category ‚material‘.
Knippers Helbig developed a fiber-reinforced ceramic (CBPC), which has been used in the grid structure of the reverberation gallery.
The non-combustable material allows for a highly filigree, free-form design and is self-supporting. It´s the first architectural application of CBPC in the construction sector.
