Fidelio Stage Design Theater an der Wien, Österreich

As part of the celebrations marking the 250th anniversary of Ludwig van Beethoven’s birthday the Berlin-based architects Barkow Leibinger realized the stage set for the opera “Fidelio” directed by Christoph Waltz at the “Theater an der Wien”. The structural concept of the three-dimensional stepped construction made of cross-laminated timber was designed by the engineers of Knippers Helbig.
