Official opening of the soccer stadium in Freiburg

On October 7, the new soccer stadium in Freiburg was officially opened with a friendly match against FC ST. Pauli. After a successful competition process and the planning and construction phase, we are pleased together with Köster GmbH, HPP Architekten and Krebs und Kiefer that SC Freiburg has found a new home in this modern stadium. The lightweight steel roof structure cantilevers 40 m and provides weather protection for 34700 spectators. The stadium's architectural appearance is characterized by the slender tension supports along the edge of the roof.
