Sächsische Aufbaubank (SAB)
In the central city location of Leipzig we design a new office building with a public square (called “Forum”) and an underground carpark for our client, the Sächsische Aufbaubank.
The building has a footprint of approx. 96m x 96m and consists of office and services areas and an underground carpark. Adjacent to the building a public space is created using a “forest of columns” to create an inner city recreational area. The building has five upper storeys with offices and a single and double storey-high ground floor level which houses the entrance, archive, a wine shop and a conference room. The buildings fluid shape encloses the public square in a L-shape form. Sustainability plays a key role in the design of the project.
