The company Uhlmann Pac-Systeme GmbH & Co. KG in Laupheim is planning a redesign of the existing plant area. The realization of the whole project is foreseen in four construction stages.
In the first stage of construction, Building B, consisting of a receiving area with an automatic high-bay warehouse and an attached two-story fabrication hall, will be realized.
The structure of the building with exterior dimensions of approximately 140x50m is designed as a reinforced concrete frame construction with a regular structural grid of 12,5 x12,5m. All columns and beams are based on a uniform design module with a high repetition rate; therefore the economic advantage of high-strength reinforced concrete pre-cast elements can be deployed. The ceilings are planned to accommodate thermal mass activation as floor systems on semi-finished parts. The fabrication hall is operated by overhead cranes, the crane rails are fastened with linear consoles directly to the concrete beams. Thus additional steel crane girders are not required.
